Omniclean

Omniclean is a powerful detergent cleaner and strong bactericide

Omniclean is the ideal first stage cleaner for animal housing before terminal disinfection takes place and should be used in conjunction with Omnicide.

It should be used to clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment in veterinary clinics and surgeries.

It may also be used to clean surfaces, equipment and utensils used in food processing industries,

Biocidal Activity

Omniclean is effective against a wide range of gram negative and gram-positive organisms including Salmonella typhi, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The following dilutions are proven to give 99.99% kill of these pathogens

Composition and Properties

Omniclean is a blend of a cationic QAC active ingredient together with a non-ionic detergent system (alcohol ethoxylate) that will remove a wide variety of surface debris and soil such as protein and fats.

It is non-corrosive and will not affect commonly used metals, plastics, wood or concrete.  It is effective in hot or cold, soft or hard water.

Omniclean is easy and economical in use and disperses immediately in water.  It does not form scum.  It is stable under normal conditions of storage.

Agricultural Applications

Omniclean is recommended as the perfect pre-cleaner for use in animal and poultry biosecurity programs, before Omnicide is used as the terminal disinfectant.

Animal & Poultry Housing – terminal cleaning

After removal of all organic debris (faeces, bedding etc.)  spray OMNICLEAN at a dilution of 1:150 using a knapsack sprayer or preferably with pressure washer. Apply at a rate of 300mls of diluted product per square metre of surface. Apply to all internal surfaces and equipment, external walls, doors and portable feeders. Leave to soak for a minimum of 5 minutes before washing away with clean water.

Hatcheries, Veterinary Clinics and Surgeries

Spray or scrub with OMNICLEAN at a dilution of 1:150 or up to 1:320 dependant on the amount of surface debris present. Omniclean should be liberally applied and scrubbed onto all surfaces and parts to remove adherent matter. Particular care should be taken to remove dried organic matter. Ensure that under-surfaces, cracks and less accessible areas are not missed.  After cleaning, surfaces should be hosed down or otherwise rinsed thoroughly with clean water.

As Omniclean is cationic, it is completely compatible with Omnicide and pre-cleaning with Omniclean will enhance the disinfectant properties of Omnicide.

In common with all detergents, some care should be taken with continuous use, as in certain cases, some drying and reddening of the hands may occur, and the use of protective gloves or creams is recommended.

Composition and Properties

Omniclean is a blend of a cationic QAC active ingredient together with a non-ionic detergent system (Alcohol ethoxylate) that will remove a wide variety of surface debris and soil such as protein and fats.

It is non-staining at use dilutions. It is non corrosive and will not affect commonly used metals, vitreous glazes and plastics.  It is stable under acid or alkaline conditions and it is effective in hot or cold, soft or hard water

Omniclean is easy and economical in use and disperses immediately in water.  It does not form scum.  It is stable under normal conditions of storage.

Omniclean does not impart any undesirable tastes or odours to food and drink

In common with all detergents, some care should be taken with continuous use, as in certain cases, some drying and reddening of the hands may occur, and the use of protective gloves or creams is recommended.

Food Processing Industry Applications

Omniclean is eminently suitable for use in catering, general food, soft drinks and brewing industries and where the disinfection of surfaces is necessary.

Omniclean is recommended for use in catering establishments to ensure the maintenance of a high standard of hygiene in all food-handling processes and in the efficient cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and utensils. Specific areas of potential hazard to public health include; working surfaces, cutting tables, draining boards splash-backs, racks, trays, trolleys, crockery and cutlery, all of which are especially vulnerable as a route for the transmission of bacterial disease to human hosts. Omniclean is a dual-purpose product, combining cleaning and disinfection in a single product. It can conveniently be used between work-shifts or at other times, when working surfaces, conveyor belts, utensils, knives and equipment etc. are routinely cleaned.

For work surfaces and hard surfaces

Omniclean Bactericidal Detergent, diluted at 1:150, should be liberally applied and scrubbed onto all surfaces and parts to remove adherent matter. Particular care should be taken to remove organic matter, dried fats and grease. Ensure that under-surfaces and less accessible areas are not missed.  After cleaning, surfaces should be hosed down or otherwise rinsed thoroughly with clean water and this may be delayed until as near as possible to re-use of the equipment to benefit from the residual activity action of the bactericide.

For washing crockery and utensils

The normal washing up procedure should be followed, using Omniclean diluted at 1:150, with excessive food residues being removed from plates, etc. before being placed in the washing up water.  If drying cloths are used they should be changed frequently and the wash liquor must be changed if it becomes too soiled or greasy, washing the sink before re-use.  It is important to wipe down all surfaces frequently with a solution of Omniclean Bactericidal Detergent in water at the concentration used for washing up. If washing cloths are used they should be boiled daily.
